How Care Works
My goal is to make your care simple and predictable:
Start with a New Patient Assessment & First Treatment
If we’re a good fit, move into a short, focused care plan
Once you’re stable, stay well with an optional membership if that makes sense
New Patients
New Patient Assessment & First Treatment – $200
60–75 minute visit in clinic (Kailua)
Full health history and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis
First full acupuncture treatment
Simple plan for sleep, stress, movement, and herbs
This visit lets us both see how your body responds and whether ongoing care makes sense.
Care Plans
12‑Visit Immersion – $1,300 pay‑in‑full
Recommended for most chronic issues (pain, stress, sleep, hormones, digestion, sports injuries that keep coming back).
12 follow‑up acupuncture visits over 3–4 months (usually weekly)
60–75 minutes each session
Personalized treatment plan and qigong / lifestyle homework
Herbal support guidance (herbs themselves priced separately)
This is the main plan I use when we’re serious about changing how your system works, not just chasing symptoms.
4‑Visit Immersion – $520 pay‑in‑full
For people who want to start smaller or focus on one main problem.
4 follow‑up acupuncture visits over 4–6 weeks
60–75 minutes each
Aimed at clear, specific goals (for example: “take my neck pain down a few notches”)
At the end of the 4 visits, we reassess and decide together if you’re done or if a longer plan is appropriate.
Memberships for Chronic Conditions & Sports Medicine
Memberships are for patients who have already completed a care plan and want structured, ongoing support.
Built for:
Chronic pain that hasn’t responded to “normal” care
Complex pain where doctors don’t know what else to do
Sports and orthopedic cases that need steady, high‑level support
We work in 4‑week cycles, billed every 4 weeks (not calendar monthly).
Most people go through:
Intensive Phase (first 4 weeks)
Often 2 visits per week (8 visits total)
We’re calming the fire, getting baseline function back, and learning how your body responds
Practically, this is usually covered by two Core cycles (pre‑paid at the start)
Stabilization Phase (next 8–12 weeks)
Usually 1 visit per week (4 visits per 4‑week cycle)
We’re building durability so the problem doesn’t just come back
After that, you can drop down to lighter maintenance or simply come in as needed.
Core Plan – $400 per 4 weeks
Up to 4 in‑clinic visits each 4‑week cycle (about 1 visit/week)
Best for:
Most chronic and complex pain cases
Post‑surgery or post‑injury rehab
Athletes in structured training or return‑to‑play work
Light Plan – $250 per 4 weeks
Up to 2 in‑clinic visits each 4‑week cycle
Best for:
People who have finished a full plan and just need light maintenance
Mild issues or old injuries that only need attention a couple of times per month
4 Visit Add-on – $350
4 extra visits you can add during flares, new injuries, or heavy training blocks at a discount as a member benefit. This lets us temporarily increase frequency without changing your whole plan
We decide together which tier makes sense based on your condition, goals, and life, and the choice is always yours.
Concierge Membership: Sports Medicine and/or Chronic Conditions and Pain – $500 / month
For a small group of early patients who helped me build this practice.
Up to 1 in‑clinic visit per week (75 minutes)
$30/month herb credit
Reasonable text / phone support between visits for quick questions and minor course corrections
VIP Home Care – from $975+ / month
For families and individuals who prefer to be treated at home in Kailua / Lanikai and surrounding areas.
1–2 home visits per week
Pricing depends on:
Distance / travel time
How many family members are being treated
Complexity of the case
This tier is ideal for high‑demand schedules, mobility issues, or families wanting care together. Availability is limited.
Herbs & Payment
Herbal formulas are recommended as needed; cost depends on ingredients and length of use.
Payment is due at the time of service, plan purchase, or membership billing date.
I do not bill insurance directly; I can provide superbills for you to submit if your plan allows out‑of‑network reimbursement.
HMSA and TriWest are okay; I am currently working on other plans as well.
You can email front and back photos of your insurance card and driver’s license, or call your insurance company for an EOB (“explanation of benefits”).
You and I then choose the path that matches your condition, your schedule, and your budget, and we stick to that plan so you always know what you’re doing and what it costs.
No hidden fees.
Insurance
Currently Taking VA Tricare/Triwest Insurance only.
Some insurance plans cover acupuncture, and some do not.
You can also call your insurer directly and ask about your acupuncture benefits for out‑of‑network providers in Hawai’i.
We are happy to provide superbills for out‑of‑network reimbursement, for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
